Donaldsonville Ice Factory The Donaldsonville Ice Factory was built by Anheiser-Busch and Donaldsonville Mayor Sidonious Goette in 1891. It was located across the street from Crescent Park on Mississippi Street and was touted as having the purest ice in the south. more

Sunshine Festival on the horizon Mark you calendars and day-planners for the fast approaching 22nd annual Sunshine Festival to be held September 28th thru October 1st at the South Louisiana State Fairgrounds. more

Katrina’s Children’s book in print A new children’s book, HURRICANE KATRINA BROUGHT ANGELS TOO, has been released. The book was written by local resident Susan Jumonville along with Lisa Bice Vermillion. more
