ABOUT THIS ISSUE'S COVER - It’s festival time again. The excitement begins at the Sunshine Festival as the rides arrive in town. We should see the ferris wheel and tilt-a-whirl assembled during the last week of this month. The Sunshine Festival committee has worked hard to plan a fun-filled festival for the entire family. We invite everyone to come out to have good time. This is the major fund-raiser for the Chamber of Commerce. more

Put On Your Dancing Shoes, They’re Coming Home With Donaldsonville in its bicentennial year celebrating its 200th birthday, the Sunshine Festival is presenting a musical reunion review of local musicians Saturday and Sunday. These guys grew up listening to the big bands at the Town and Country Club. more
