ABOUT THIS ISSUE'S COVER - The Chamber just ended our first Spring event, Art, Antiques, and Authors in the ASHA Museum and Crescent Park. This project was planned under the organization skills of Chamber member Danielle Doyle (High Standards Electric). Assisting on this event were new board directors Karen Hartman and Donna Schexnaydre. Steve Schneider handled the entertainment (including performing) and the design work on the posters and other promotional items. Rain Saturday didn't dampen the spirits of this new committee. It is encouraging to have these new members come to the Chamber table with fresh ideas. We compliment the committee for their hard work in planning a successful event. more

Time Capsule buried for parish bicentennial The official opening ceremony celebrating the 200th Bicentennial of Ascension Parish was held Sunday, April 15th at Louisiana Square with the burial of the time capsule. The capsule will be opened fifty years from now.
