ABOUT THIS ISSUE'S COVER - The smiling faces on our May cover represents a happy work force. The Secretary’s Day Luncheon has become a tradition. An added surprise was the $300.00 shopping spree. The lucky winner was Jackie Mistretta of Ten M Corporation. The shopping spree consisted of Chamber gift certificates, guaranteed to be spent locally. VOICES OF THE CHAMBER

Prevost Health Fair set for June 9th Don’t plan on any late night snacks the Friday night before the annual Prevost Health Fair. The well-attended health fair will be held Saturday, June 9th. For the small fee of $10.00 one can have the SMAC testing. A twelve hour fast is necessary. You will also be able to have a Carotid Ultrasound for folks 50 years and older for the cost of $3.00. more

Describe your Donaldsonville roots.
I am the daughter of Larry and Zue Montero. Donaldsonville was a great place to get a start in life. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone and having all the relatives close by can’t be beat. more
Secretary’s Day Celebrated They ate, they drank, and they won prizes. It was another sold-out event for the working women of Donaldsonville. The Grapevine provided the delicious menu along with the world famous white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Economic development is always our goal at the Chamber. This year we encouraged our sponsors to give Chamber gift certificates. This is guaranteed spending back into our Chamber business community. An added bonus was a $300.00 shopping spree also in Chamber gift certificates award to Jackie Mistretta of Ten M. more
