The River Road African American Museum held its annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival where people lined up to do the Cupid Shuffle. Fireworks lighted the sky for the July 3rd Celebration hosted by the City of Donaldsonville. more

Prevost holds health fair Prevost Hospital celebrated its 26th annual health fair with record numbers. Hospital records indicate 250 people registered on Saturday with a total of 489 SMAC tests performed throughout the three-day period. Numerous other tests were provided such as body fat testing, hearing screening, blood pressure monitoring, and skin cancer screening..more
 
Donaldsonville - An Iconic Vacation Destination The topic of the article was “Ten Iconic Vacations In America” and guess what one of those iconic vacations include? You got it! Donaldsonville. Well that wasn’t the original plan for Adam Skolnick, pictured right, when he contacted me and asked for suggestions on things to do outside of New Orleans to include in his writings. Well where else can one experience the history and heritage of Louisiana better than in Donaldsonville. more
